For Hotel Alexander in Amsterdam, Muurbloem created the interior design of the rooms and communal spaces, transforming an existing hotel environment into a contemporary boutique hospitality experience. Illum Kunstlicht developed the lighting plan that strengthens the warm, intimate atmosphere of the hotel and matches the character of the interior concept. A combination of functional base lighting and subtle accents creates a layered, atmospheric lighting scheme throughout the different spaces. The result is a stylish city boutique hotel where light and interior reinforce one another.
